It is ok to say no

Hey dolls!
Hope you are well! It took me a while to learn to say no to people. As a mom of two and full time worker....I used to add doing favors and small commitments to people. The truth is that you need to be honest and not rude. The exception is my mom or mother in law. When they need something I am there. They deserve it all so I don't say no, but anyone else you have to think about three things. 1. Is it good for yor soul . 2. Will it exhaust you 3. Will it hurt them more if you can't do it then it will for you to do it. ( don't enable them) . Hope this helps for people who are people pleasers like me : )

Work your way up!

Hello dolls!
I wanted to touch on a topic that I've been thinking about this past year. I'll be totally honest... I didn't go to college. I went for 2 years to community college and it just wasn't for me. I did however work myself to where I wanted to be. No matter who my employer was, I worked hard and worked for the next level. See the whole point of working is to make more money year after year right ? ( for most ) . I respect those people who work and go to college so much. That's the true hustle. Anyways... Always aim for a step higher than what you are assigned to do. That way, when the next slot opens up you are considered right away. Being in a company doesn't mean you will get promoted. You need to work hard  at what you are trying to achieve in the present. Just like having a degree doesn't mean you will make 100,000 off the bat. You gradually get there. There's a dark side to all of this though. I've always been proud of my hustle. I've worked hard. I have worked through 4 months of morning sickness. I was throwing up and going back to my desk as a banker. My customers didn't even know. I don't wish that for anyone. Life isn't glamorous. Although everything we see online makes it seem that way. This year I stepped down from a career I loved so I can be with my kids. After my son went to kindergarten...I became bored. I was used to working with no break for 10 years. I wouldn't call maternity leave a break lol. Immediately I started looking for another job. I never realized how hard it is to get a high level position again. When people find a job nowadays... They hold on to it. I did eventually find another job but it was definitely at a lower level. I'm talking 4 steps behind where I had worked to be . But we had goals and I have to make sure my husband and I have a retirement. I took the job. It's been an adjustment. But I hope to work my way back to where I want to be. This was just a pit stop. If you are a hustler it is in your blood. That's what we do... We build something from nothing.

#fitgirlsguide

Hey dolls! There is a Instagram page I discovered called the fit girls guide to life. I read the e-book and today I started the challenge. I'm so addicted to bad food it's not even funny. It's like comfort food to me. I did well the whole day. I decided I wasn't going to make super healthy food, I was going to start small In portions for day one. I had 4 bottles of water today, I usually have none! I had a good breakfast, snack and lunch. I made pasta with red sauce and some spices. Small portion of course. Black pepper and cayenne pepper with no salt added at all. No soda. Until dinner! I cheated on day one. Oops! Oh well....I'm going to track all #28 days. This will motivate me. Tommorow I will make a detox drink !!! I'll share the ingredients!!! Xoxo sadafy

The blueprint

What are your goals for the year? Nothing can happen without a goal. A building isn't built without the blueprint. My goals are personal. I write them in my journal. Those are things I no longer want to share with the world. Your goals are private and should be written. Even on the notes of your phone!!!! Cheers to a great year!
