2014- The turning point
2014: After years of being called a superwoman .... This year I made more decisions for myself .I got to finally test out what I wanted. This year was a huge turning point in my life. As a mom we tend to put ourself last on our list. For me it was to hold the family together. Mothers are the glue of the family. I sold my first home, got to stay at home with my kids and started a new business. I did things I was proud of this year. It taught me a lot also . To be continued....Friday, December 26, 2014
Why I decided to keep my marriage private....
For a while I have been going back and forth about putting up my vlogs. And if I did.... What I would do differently. I have filmed and edited and almost put up videos and stopped myself. If you follow me on snapchat ( sadafsarainc ) you would know I sit and edit. I never put it up. In fact I took away all my videos for a while and came back again. I was so indecisive . It was a big deal to me. Sounds funny writing it down, but if I was coming back I wanted to know one thing. Did I want to continue to put my husband in the videos. Marriage is sacred. A good marriage should be shown as an example as well. So I decided .... My vlogs will have everyone in them except him for the most part. It's hard to leave him out entirely. I've been in a dark place this year. Great things have happened to me and some big decisions as well. I do want to continue vlogging but in a different way. I swear when people see your blessings it can ruin them. Not because people mean to cast an evil eye. Which is totally real in Islam. And we have surahs to protect us, but it could be that they don't have what you have and wish it. Or you hurt someone by putting up something they miss . Or whatever. My whole inspiration for this vlogging thing was to set an example for young Muslims. You can make fun of it all day long but when you turn on American tv. All you see is their influence. I'm not amazing or perfect at ALL. But it is something. Anyways I have to do laundry and prepare for my week!!! Sunday = prep for my week
